DREAMS Summer Programme 2017
This week was our Summer Programme 2017 we offered a full week of a wide range of activities for Nechells children between the ages 5 – 11 years old. We had Naty from Unatty Arts; Yoga and Face Painting who offered yoga which worked on the children’s movement. We also had Spiltmilk Dance who ran dance workshops with the children, building on their ability to express emotions and work as a team. We also had Birmingham Play Care Network who offered crafts workshops which allowed the children to explore their creative side. The programme was a huge success and from the feedback we have had the children all enjoyed being at the POD and taking part in the activities. We also had two guests who came in during the week, we had 10 students as part of NCS – National Citizen Service who volunteered to help on Monday and on Wednesday we had members of Birmingham City Council Transportation team who showed one of the groups that 20 mph is safer. Thank you to everyone who helped this week and to all the facilitators for their hard work. Check our page next week when we upload the videos of each groups dances which Spiltmilk helped create.
